Tours and Visits

How do I tour an apartment and check out the community?

We’d love to show you around! For in-person tours, you can book one directly on the website, or contact our leasing office to schedule a tour. Please bring your ID to the tour. For online virtual tours, check out this page on our website. We also have walk-through videos for additional floor plans, you can check out our Instagram. If you are looking for a specific unit walk-through video, please contact us directly and we can help you out!

Application and Leasing

How do I apply for an apartment?

Choose your perfect home and preferred lease term directly through our website. Once your application and administration fees are submitted and documents are signed, your screening will continue Or just give the leasing office a call, they are happy to answer any questions you may have. 

What documents do I need to provide for the application process?

To start your application, you'll need to provide a valid ID and proof of income. These documents help us verify your eligibility and ensure a smooth leasing process. 

What are the application, admin, and deposit fees?

The application fee is $85 per adult, the admin fee is $200, and the deposit ranges from $200 up to one month’s rent based on screening. 

What are the qualification requirements?

Applicants must earn 3x the rent, have two years of positive rental history, and a minimum 550 credit score, with conditional approval possible if criteria aren’t fully met. 

Do you allow subleasing?

Any roommate changes must be processed through Blue Moon. Please contact the leasing office in advance to complete the application and approval process. 

How do I renew my lease? 

You’ll receive a renewal notice 70 days before lease end, and you can confirm renewal or submit a 60-day move-out notice by email.

Is renter’s insurance required?

Yes, renter’s insurance is required for all residents. Must have The Knox Apartments listed at the interested party. $100,000.00 minimum personal liability required on all policies.

Move-In and Move-Out

Are there move-in or application fees?

Yes, application and admin fees are required. 

What happens if I need to break my lease?

Early lease termination may be available with fees and conditions. 

How much notice is required before moving out?

A 60-day written notice is required. 

What is the move-out process?

Return your keys to the leasing office so the team can inspect the unit and process your move-out. 

When will I receive my deposit refund?

Refunds are mailed within 30 days of move-out.

Fees and Payments

What monthly fees should I expect?

Residents are responsible for a $25/month valet trash fee, $5/month pest control fee, and a $15/month amenity fee. 

How much is the pet fee?

A one-time pet fee of $350 is required for one pet, or $500 for two pets. 

Are utilities included in rent?

No, residents are responsible for all utilities. Water is set up by the community; residents must set up electricity through Cobb EMC and maintain renter’s insurance. 

Are there any other recurring charges?

Yes, see above for valet trash, pest control, and amenity fees. 

What situational fees should I know about?

  • Lease Buyout: Requires 60-day notice, one month penalty, and repayment of concessions. 
  • Late Fee: 10% of monthly rent. 
  • Key Replacement: $25. 
  • Lock Replacement: $50. 
  • Re-letting Fee: One month’s rent.

Do you charge for clubhouse rentals?

Yes, the clubhouse may be rented with a $200 deposit and $100/hour fee. Rentals are limited to fewer than 15 people between 9 a.m.–9 p.m.

Parking & Storage

Is parking available?

Yes, standard parking is available. 

Are storage units available?

Yes, with the following monthly rates: 

  • Small: $10 
  • Medium: $30 
  • Large: $50

Pets

Do you allow pets?

Yes, cats and dogs are welcome. Breed and size restrictions apply; please contact the office for details. 

What are the pet fees?

A one-time pet fee of $350 for one pet or $500 for two pets applies.

Internet & Cable

Which internet/cable providers are available?

AT&T and Xfinity are available to residents.

Maintenance

How do I submit a maintenance request?

Submit requests through the RentCafe Resident Services portal or app. For emergencies, call the 24-hour emergency maintenance line.

Community & Lifestyle

What is your smoking policy?

The Knox is a non-smoking community.

All amenity rules and guidelines are included in your lease.
